1780s Redingote Featuring an Under Petticoat, Matching Fichu, and Wool Cloak

One of my very first projects, this 1780s style redingote was made using a pattern from Black Snail Patterns. The entire ensemble is built up of three pieces for the outer layers; the heather purple cotton under petticoat and matching fichu, and the deep green wool outer petticoat attached to the bodice. In all, this project took around one hundred hours to hand sew. To match the redingote, I also made an 18th-century style wool cloak (pictured below) made from a Reconstructing History pattern. All elements are completely hand sewn.
